MVDSV 0.28 RC1 available (1 comment)
Before the final release we'll be releasing a release candidate build for MVDSV and KTX so that people can test them and report any bugs there might still be. MVDSV revision is 786 and KTX revision is 809 and these builds should be used together.

MVDSV 0.28 rev.777 linux/w32
All lucky sevens! New beta-build of MVDSV has now been added to the files section. The most important fix in this build should make MVDSV able to delete and download demos with long names. It should also prevent MVDSV get messed up with max demodir size and related problems.

QTV chat compliant MVDSV build 11.3.2008
Compiled on Debian x86 to be used with the latest QTV that allows chatting. This is a high priority build that should be used in case QTV is connected to your server to allow chatting and make the server stable.

Pre-built binaries issues
It appears that pre-built MVDSV binaries might cause some unforeseen behaviour depending on the system they are being run. For example Debian i386 pre-built binaries might end up causing rounding errors in game so you can pick up GA even if you already had GA:100.
The best way to avoid this is to get sources and compile it on the server machine or at least very much similar system. This isn't MVDSV fault but rather system/OS fault and we might have to explore this issue a bit more. Until that time, try to compile the sources by yourself if you can.
Updated easy server package (1 comment)
The server package (http://qw-dev.net/projects/list_files/mvdsv) has now been updated so that it now contains preconfigured default configuration for both allround and ffa gametypes.
The directory structure is virtually unchanged but FFA directory was added to keep the KTX and FFA configs separate, making configuring of the config files a bit less messy. Don't forget to PAY ATTENTION to the readme files included as they contain really important information.
Easy server packs
Server packs with instructions have been uploaded for both Windows and Linux.
They feature recent MVDSV and KTX binaries.
You can find them here: http://www.qw-dev.net/projects/list_files/mvdsv
Repository move (1 comment)
In order to speed up access, MVDSV SVN repository (following KTX lead) has been moved to QW-DEV.net.
You can now checkout the new repository at the following URL: http://qw-dev.net/svn/mvdsv.
Feedback is welcomed as usual.
Cvars and Commands lists
At least you can check with cvars exist and which don't.
Some of those are pretty self-explainatory while some others are quite hard to grab out of the blue.
Be sure that pages will appear with time and with code changes.
