Race¶
Description¶
Race is a game mode where players compete to finish a run through a set of checkpoints within the lowest time. Use of rocket launcher can be authorized which allows tricks to be performed if necessary.
Recommended maps¶
All maps can be used to race since racing is basically trying to get from point A to point B in the shortest time possible. It can be a great training tools for common paths or moves to accomplish in maps usually used for duels or teamplay. It can also be used to record and time moves on a trickmap! However, the best type of maps for racing are the ones that let you get some SPEED. Below is a list of most of the maps made for race mode (or it's ancestor slide mode) and with built-in support from KTX:- halfpipe.bsp

Racing on a map with built-in support¶
Load the map, then issue the race command to toggle race on (same goes to turn it off).
That's it! You're ready to get in the line-up by just typing ready as you would in a match.
The command kill will let you cancel your current run, while break will get you out of the line-up.
